Born in Georgia, raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Serkit creates art with various materials and surfaces. He has a passion for creating community murals, incorporating people and their stories, education, nature, art based of his Mexican American culture, and is always trying new techniques and mediums. 

With a background in graffiti, Serkit has painted various murals across the RGV in his 17 year art career. His other surfaces include canvas, clothes, airbrush, auto body , and digital illustrations. Serkit has been an educator in Port Isabel, Tx for the past 8 years and loves to pass down his knowledge to future generations of artists.
